my brother doesn’t want to move out because he fears for my safety if i’m left alone with our mother

he escaped to his room while she was angry in the general vicinity of me; later he confessed to feeling like in a war movie, leaving me stranded and blown to pieces by grenades on the beach

we discussed how to fight back without hurting. open-handed slap and spit. she throws fruit at him and pummels me onto the bed. slaps me in the back of the head as she walks past.

and reminisced about that one time i poured half a cup of lukewarm coffee in her lap after a week of nights of grueling houndedness; “did you know she was going to do that?” she asked. “yes,” he said. “why didn’t you stop her?” because there’s a reason for that.

he said he would have gone with me if she had kicked me out. because she doesn’t need him, but i did. do.

we wished she would have another minor breakdown. those two weeks were what normal kids must take for granted. and you live like that every day?

it really is. even with forewarning (my brother summarised it for me yesterday) i had to take breaks to go read a book augh god it’s so awful thank god for the shitty and non-scary scps & the anomalous items list, they help me not have a panic attack
